How would you describe yourself?
I am an outgoing, go getter. I love talking to people!! Vendor events and in-home events are my favorite. I used to create, prepare, organize, and attend all vendor events for a company that I used to work for. They do not intimidate me at all!!
How long have you been involved in your business?
My onboard date was August 4, 2016.
What keeps you motivated?
Being able to quit my part-time job. My husband and I want to buy a house and pay off my truck. LuLaRoe is helping us fulfill those dreams
Tell us a little about your family.
My daughter is 13 and does competitive cheer. That keeps us busy on top of the events/in-homes that I attend. My husband owns his own coffee roaster in Tacoma. We love to camp and will do day trips to the ocean in the summer when we can.
How do you prioritize family and your business?
I work part-time now. I do my business during the day while my family is gone. My husband goes with me to vendor events and helps me set-up. My daughter participates in the live online sales (behinds the scenes. She doesn’t want to be on camera……she is 13!) They both understand if I’m in the office at night. I keep the door open so we can all still talk and interact. I’m on the laptop at night while my husband watches his programs. Being a business owner himself, he gets it.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
A Mentor, team leader, trainer.
Biggest life lesson learned?
Nothing is easy! You have to work for it!!
Biggest lesson you’ve learned in business?
Same thing. You have to work for what you want!!
What is your secret to success?
I can’t compare myself to others in the business/industry. I am my own business owner.
All Entrepreneurs encounter bad days. How do you handle yours?
Walk away for a bit. Take a break and come back when you are ready and refreshed. It’s business, don’t take it personal!
What was your sweetest success story?
Watching the women smile when they try clothes on. Watching their faces light up when they see themselves in the mirror. Each time a woman feels good about herself, THAT is a success story!!!
How do you relax?
I read at night. I color. We go to the ocean or camp.
Please finish this sentence: If it wasn’t for my direct sales business, I wouldn’t have been able to…
be home with my daughter when she gets home from school. She actually talks about her days with me now rather than one word “fine” responses.
Do you send out a monthly newsletter?
No.
How can we reach you if we have additional questions?
Phone or email. Both listed above.
